Your Impact
Reporting to the UK Business Continuity Governance & Crisis Manager and operating primarily at the Helicopter site in Yeovil, the Business Continuity Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, facilitating and testing the Leonardo UK Ltd Business Continuity Management System to ensure alignment with ISO22301 and adherence to relevant company directives. The role includes the review and continuous improvement of the existing system, its tools and processes and the individual will require the ability to liaise with and influence at all levels to ensure Business Continuity is embedded within Leonardo culture. This Business Continuity Manager role will predominantly be focused on the delivery of Business Continuity at the Yeovil site; therefore, the individual should preferably be based in the South West England area. However, this role will also contribute to the Business Continuity Management System for other Leonardo UK Sites as part of knowledge sharing and best practice via a relatively small team.
What you will be doing
- Support all aspects of Leonardo Business Continuity Management System.
- Maintain and continually review for improvement, the Business Continuity Management System.
- Facilitate and support all functional areas in conducting Business Impact Analysis to determine Business Continuity priorities.
- Liaise with Enterprise Risk function to maintain the ORM (Operational Risk Management) register for the continuity of the site and elevate top risks to the ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) group on an agreed regular basis.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Risk function to drive Single Points of Failure data collection to enable effective Business Continuity Management.
- Actively engage in Business Continuity solution development, publish continuity and resilience arrangements in the Business Continuity Plan, in accordance with central function (UK Security) and LHUK site leadership (Enterprise Governance) priorities.
- Provide support to functions/business areas writing operational level Business Continuity Plans.
- Provide training for the Emergency Control Teams in Business Continuity, Incident Management and the software systems that overarch both disciplines.
- Review and maintain an effective Incident Management process, suitable for the Aerodrome and Industrial site.
- Design and facilitate testing for incident types detailed in the Incident Management Plan on a regular basis to validate existing procedures, exercise Business Continuity Site teams and implement any improvements identified.
- Liaise with Local Authority Emergency Services to drive engagement with emergency processes, training opportunities and live exercise collaboration for mutual benefit.
- Drive the development and implementation of the Everbridge Incident Management software features for successful incident management response.
- Promote Business Continuity and Incident Management Awareness to all employees.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on Business Continuity issues.
- Monitor and report on Business Continuity compliance for the Yeovil site back to the UK Business Continuity Governance & Crisis Manager.
- Provide response and support to critical incidents; participate in the Silver Control Emergency Team when required, to ensure process adherence and achievement of resilience and recovery objectives.
- Actively delegate key compliance and administrative activities to the Business Continuity Co‑ordinator to ensure regular process and documentation updates.
- Act on behalf of the UK Business Continuity Governance and Crisis Manager to drive consistency of process across all Leonardo UK sites.
What you’ll bring
The successful candidate will be a talented Business Continuity Manager with a track record, experience and qualifications in Business Continuity. Ideally has an HNC/HND/Degree [or equivalent experience] in Engineering, Facilities, Health & Safety, Quality or Project Management. Experience in Aerospace, Defence or Electronics or a similarly complex industry are desirable. Be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of ISO22301, ISO22313, ISO22332 and ISO22317. Have demonstrated experience of the Business Continuity Management lifecycle. This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
