As a UX Designer at Sage, you’ll shape how customers interact with our products by designing intuitive, user centred experiences that meet real needs and business objectives.
You’ll work across the full design lifecycle — from identifying the right problems to solve, through to designing and validating high-quality solutions.
This could include improving existing features, creating new concepts, or developing entirely new product experiences.
Working in multidisciplinary teams, you’ll bring together user insights, business requirements, and technical considerations to deliver simple, effective, and scalable design solutions.
You’ll also contribute to the design of new AI powered features, helping embed intelligent capabilities into our products to enhance user productivity and decision-making.
What you’ll do
You’ll join the HR and Payroll Experience Design team, collaborating closely with UX Designers, Content Designers, Product Owners, and engineers.
In this role, you will
- Design end-to-end user journeys, flows, interactions, and interfaces
- Translate user needs, research insights, and business requirements into effective design solutions
- Contribute to the design of AI-powered experiences within Sage People
- Create and iterate prototypes at varying fidelities to test and communicate ideas
- Work closely with UX Researchers to validate designs and incorporate insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance desirability, feasibility, and viability
- Communicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders
- Ensure designs are accessible, usable, and consistent with our design system
- Contribute to and help evolve our design system and patterns
- What you’ll work on
You’ll work on Sage People, our solution for mid-sized businesses to manage their workforce.
- You’ll design experiences that support employees and managers in key moments, including:
- Managing leave and absences
- Performance reviews and goal tracking
- Workforce insights and reporting
- Emerging AI-powered capabilities that enhance decision-making and efficiency
- What we’re looking for
- Core skills and experience
- Experience designing complex user journeys, interactions, and user interfaces
- Strong understanding of user-centred design, accessibility, and responsive design
- Ability to work from low- to high-fidelity, including interactive prototypes (e. g. Figma)
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in agile, multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to synthesise research and feedback into actionable design improvements
- Mindset and ways of working
- Passionate about creating valuable, high-quality user experiences
- Comfortable working at pace and managing ambiguity
- Proactive in seeking feedback and iterating on ideas
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Nice to have
- Experience facilitating or contributing to user research
- Knowledge of Salesforce and the Lightning Design System
- Interest in or experience designing AI-powered user experiences
