We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager with team management responsibilities to join our team here at PayTech. This is a new position within the PayTech Project Management Office team where you will be supporting the delivery of internal strategic projects as well as playing a critical part in ensuring the businesses are aligned with the strategy. This role will have the line management of the other Internal project managers, a mix of permanent employees and contractors. You will work with a number of stakeholder groups to support this extension and future changes, where you will be working within a fast-moving environment where customer satisfaction, delivery implementation objectives, solution resolution and quality are key.
What you will be doing
- Managing the implementation of new requirements through to acceptance and rollout and support (including technical, legal, compliance/risk and financial work-streams).
- Identify amendments in project objectives, with capacity to negotiate between core and future phasing in order to efficiently adhere to agreed delivery timeframes.
- Planning, effort estimations, status reporting and project budget tracking.
- Drive issue resolution, enable reporting, and manage escalations.
- Manage governance sessions at agreed frequency.
Management
- Maximise resource utilisation.
- Drive continuous improvement across the team, working with other areas of the business.
- Manage the workload of the team ensuring the priorities are clearly understood across the board to maximise the progress flow.
- Support each individual in their learning and development, ensuring sound shared knowledge and positive attitude for a high performing team.
- Guide Project managers to manage the implementation of products and solutions from shaping requirements through to build, acceptance testing and rollout end-to-end.
- Monitor and control project delivery while identifying, challenging and overcoming delays and obstacles.
- Effective prioritisation of projects/resources.
- Track and manage escalated issues from own team.
- Optimise recruitment, training and development and progression of employees.
- Monitoring the quality of the team’s performance and providing regular feedback against the agreed standards.

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in team leadership.
- PM qualifications preferred or equivalent experience.
- Understanding or experience in payment (card, mobile, wallet…).
- Experience mentoring PMs or contributing to PMO development.
