Build the Games Behind the Fun! We're looking for a Junior Backend Developer to join our Game Studio team. This is a great opportunity for someone with commercial experience developing in C# and .NET who's ready to take the next step in their career. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real projects from day one and continue developing your skills in a collaborative environment. We champion collaborative working, so this is a hybrid role with three days a week in our Sunderland office and two days working from home. At tombola, we build everything in house, from the games our players love to the technology that powers them. Working closely with designers, artists, QA and Product teams, you'll help build high quality software while learning from experienced developers in a supportive environment.

What will I be doing?

  • Develop and maintain backend services using C# and .NET.
  • Build clean, scalable and well tested code.
  • Help design and develop new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Take part in code reviews and team discussions.
  • Work closely with Product, QA, Platform and Infrastructure teams.
  • Learn new technologies and continuously develop your skills.
