About the role
As part of the role you may be required to contribute to out of hours callout by supporting voluntary lists and, if required, Formal On Call Frameworks (with a minimum 1 in 4 attendance) to support service as needed by the business.
Responsibilities
- Prioritise health and safety—ensure job license & skills, deliver work with full regard of H&S, conduct on-site risk assessments, inform manager, record near misses/incidents, challenge others to display ID passes, and comply with ISO audits (14001, 45001).
- Promote an inclusive environment—support diversity, live by ES values, work with ES teams to deliver and create an amazing workplace.
- Radio & Rigging Expertise – Complexity level of work expected: Understand extensive systems: Radio (20CN/21CN/Microwave), Mobile (2/3/4/5G), WIFI—installations, systems & maintenance.
- Achieve & retain mandatory training certifications: Tower Climbing and Rescue, Emergency First Aid at Work (At Height).
- Design & creation of lifting/lowering plans and associated risk assessments; coordinate team member activities during routine/planned works.
- Supervisory/Clerk of Works responsibilities for contractor/3rd-party activity.

Physical requirements: bend, stretch, kneel, crouch; climb, work at floor & ceiling level inside buildings, tower structures and roadside infrastructure; lift heavy drums/cables; recognize coloured wiring.
Mandatory: Able to pass a working at height medical. Maintain a level of physical fitness to conduct the role.
