QBE Europe is recruiting a Senior PMO Manager to lead the PMO function for the division and support major programmes and strategic initiatives. The role provides oversight and constructive challenge, including planning, value measurement, governance, risk management, resourcing, delivery assurance, and high-quality executive reporting across multiple complex change programmes. Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion.

Your new role:
- Lead and develop the PMO team (internal) and manage external PMO resources across programmes with professional best practice standards, development plans and career pathways.
- Operate enterprise PMO services consistently across programmes, aligned to the PMO services catalogue.
- Define and enforce standards and risk controls (planning, controls, assurance, escalation and decision forums) to drive delivery discipline and pace.
- Ensure programme clarity, control and performance reporting: scope, ownership, milestones, critical path, risks, issues and dependencies are explicit and actively managed.
- Ownership of the division’s Planview data governance and integrity—clear definitions, ownership, cadence and quality checks so the portfolio dataset is complete, accurate and audit‑ready.
- Turn Planview data into programme decision support: concise, decision-focused insight for Steer Co and senior forums, highlighting actions, trade‑offs and implications.
- Provide forward‑looking delivery confidence—trends, hotspots and early warning indicators on schedule, risk and dependency exposure.
- Align financial management with the transformation finance business partnering team—forecasting, spend controls, funding cycles and reporting aligned to corporate processes.
- Support business/programme teams with benefits management, helping to drive measurable outcomes and monitoring of benefits/value realisation.
- Drive assurance and continuous improvement—health checks, deep dives and independent reviews; early escalation with recommendations; continuous improvements to processes, tooling and transparency/accountability culture.
About you:
- Extensive experience at a senior level leading a PMO function including people management.
- Strong track record supporting large, complex programmes with multiple workstreams.
- Deep understanding of governance, risk and regulatory expectations in financial services.
- Proven capability in executive reporting, financial management and delivery assurance.
- Confident engaging, influencing and challenging at a senior leadership level.
- Experience of using Planview as a PMO tool.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., P3O, P3M3).
- Exposure to benefits‑led governance, OKRs and modern PMO practices.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting regulatory, technology or operating model transformation.
- Experience in PMO within the Financial services sector.
