At Cox Automotive Europe, we build the intelligence that powers decisions across the automotive ecosystem - from fleet and logistics to remarketing and finance. Our Data Solutions team sits at the heart of that mission, creating data‑driven products used daily by professionals working under real‑time pressure. We’re looking for a mid‑senior level Product Designer to own user research and design from discovery through to delivery. This is a genuinely hands‑on role that involves talking to users, shaping problems, prototyping solutions and seeing them ship.
Why this role is different
- Research and design are inseparable; you’ll speak to users in the morning and prototype solutions the same day.
- Your work directly impacts trust and adoption; these products help users make high‑stakes operational decisions.
- Design is embedded, not bolted on; you’ll sit inside a cross‑functional squad with Product, Engineering and Data Science from day one.
- Real enterprise access; you’ll work with real users across multiple markets, providing a rich research environment for a B2B designer.
Responsibilities
- Run discovery, usability testing, surveys and focus groups with enterprise users.
- Design end‑to‑end workflows for complex, data‑heavy decision‑support products.
- Turn multi‑variable data into clear, scannable and actionable experiences.
- Create prototypes at the right fidelity to test and learn quickly.
- Produce developer‑ready designs and share responsibility for what gets built.
- Communicate insights and design rationale clearly to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong product design background across both research and interaction/UI design.
- Experience designing B2B workflow tools or complex data‑driven products.
- Confidence designing data visualisation and dense information hierarchies.
- Comfortable working in agile squads where design feeds directly into sprints.
- Strong synthesis and communication skills.
- Able to work with ambiguity and help define the problem, not just solve it.
- Familiarity with Figma, Dovetail, Maze, prototyping tools, agile workflows, and AI tools such as Claude to support research, synthesis and design thinking.
Bonus Points
- Experience in automotive, fleet, logistics or operational decision‑making environments.
- Familiarity with AI‑driven or recommendation‑based products and trust calibration.
- Microcopy and content design instincts.
- Design Thinking facilitation and workshop experience.
What we offer
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Meaningful, complex design challenges with real impact.
- Access to enterprise users across multiple markets.
- A team that values craftsmanship, evidence and outcomes.
- Hybrid working with trust and flexibility.
