Team – Data & Information Services

Working Pattern – Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality London Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working!

What this role is all about:

Here at Vitality, we’re looking for an MI Analyst to join our Distribution analytics team, playing a pivotal role in turning data into meaningful, actionable insight. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality reporting and dynamic Power BI visualisations, helping stakeholders understand performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions. Key Actions:

  • Own, develop and continuously enhance a suite of MI and Power BI reports for the wider Distribution teams
  • Maintain and evolve reporting solutions to ensure they remain accurate, scalable, and aligned to evolving business requirements
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations, and ensure MI outputs deliver clear business value
  • Proactively identify trends, risks and opportunities, and support stakeholders in interpreting performance
  • Investigate anomalies and data quality issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable fixes
  • Deliver performance and KPI reporting, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and clarity of insight
  • Drive the automation and optimisation of reporting processes, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency
  • Support the strategic development of the Power BI reporting suite, including structure, usability, and best practice adoption
  • Optimise the use of data assets to improve accessibility and consistency of reporting across the function
  • Support migration of manual reporting into automated environments (e.g. Power BI), improving scalability and governance
  • Contribute to analytical modelling (e.g. forecasting, segmentation, propensity) to support planning and performance improvements
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships across Distribution and wider business areas
  • Support and contribute to MI projects and wider team initiatives as required

What do you need to thrive?

  • Strong experience in Power BI, including report development, data modelling, and dashboard design
  • Proficiency in SQL Server (SSMS) and querying using T-SQL
  • Strong understanding of relational database structures and data modelling principles
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting and data solutions
  • Experience interpreting data and producing clear, actionable insight
  • Demonstrated ownership of tasks and business areas
  • Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis
  • Strong communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach
