Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support secure infrastructure solutions that underpin critical services and applications.
  • Work closely with developers, testers, and platform teams to improve automation, streamline deployments, and enhance system reliability across complex environments.
  • Contribute ideas, influence engineering approaches, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes for clients.
  • Modernise infrastructure and deployment practices, supporting containerised environments, and ensuring systems remain secure, scalable, and resilient.
  • Develop your expertise, take ownership of key deliverables, and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on innovation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Design & Maintain secure, scalable infrastructure solutions
  • Automate & Optimise deployment and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code
  • Collaborate & Deliver with cross-functional agile teams to support CI/CD practices
  • Support & Troubleshoot applications and infrastructure environments
  • Deploy & Enhance containerised platforms including Kubernetes and Docker
  • Improve & Monitor system reliability, resilience, and performance
  • Contribute & Innovate through continuous improvement and modern DevOps practices

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To succeed in this role, you should have experience working within DevOps or platform engineering environments, with a strong understanding of automation, infrastructure, and continuous delivery practices. You’ll be a proactive and collaborative problem solver, comfortable working within agile teams and eager to learn new technologies. Experience supporting secure or highly regulated environments would be beneficial.

Essential qualifications

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
  • Familiarity with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Exposure to cloud and modern platform engineering practices
  • Scripting or programming experience with Python, Bash, Java, or Go
  • Familiarity with source control tools such as Git
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within agile environments
  • UK Security Clearance / Developed Vetting (DV) or eligibility to undergo clearance
