What will you be doing?

  • Lead end‑to‑end Source to Pay functional design for SAP S/4HANA programmes, ensuring full process integrity from sourcing through to invoice processing and financial posting.
  • Drive fit‑to‑standard workshops, challenging legacy processes and aligning stakeholders to standard SAP capabilities.
  • Define and own the S2P functional taxonomy, process models and solution architecture, ensuring scalability and alignment to enterprise objectives.
  • Design integrated procurement processes, ensuring seamless interaction with Finance (AP, GR/IR, accruals, cost flows) and Supply Chain (planning, inventory, logistics execution).
  • Provide deep functional guidance on S/4HANA procurement capabilities, including workflows, approvals, catalogues, and embedded analytics.
  • Oversee integration design across SAP and non‑SAP systems, particularly within procurement ecosystems.
  • Maintain functional design integrity across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, translating functional design into clear business value outcomes.
  • Lead and support pre‑sales and business development activities, bringing functional credibility to proposals and client discussions.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, building functional capability within the practice.

What will you need to do it?

Functional & Subject Matter Expert Skills

  • Deep functional expertise in SAP S/4HANA Procurement (MM) with strong understanding of end‑to‑end Source‑to‑Pay processes.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing integrated S2P processes, including Supplier onboarding and lifecycle management, Strategic sourcing and contract management, Operational procurement (PR, PO, approvals, catalogues), Invoice processing and Vendor Invoice Management.
  • Strong understanding of integration points between Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain.
  • Expertise in SAP Activate methodology, with a strong track record of leading fit‑to‑standard workshops.
  • Ability to define functional architecture and process taxonomy, not just module‑level configuration.
  • Strong awareness of SAP best practices and S/4HANA innovations across Public and Private Cloud.

Experience

  • Significant SAP ERP experience, with considerable experience specialising in Source‑to Pay on S/4HANA.
  • Proven experience as a functional solution lead / SME across multiple S/4HANA programmes.
  • Delivery of at least 2–3 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations (greenfield or brownfield).
  • Strong track record in leading fit‑to‑standard workshops with senior stakeholders.
  • Translating business requirements into robust functional solution designs.
  • Designing enterprise‑scale procurement operating models within SAP.
  • Experience across roles such as Advisory, Functional Solutioning, and Pre‑Sales.
  • Proven ability to balance design quality with delivery practicality.
  • Experience leading multi‑stream delivery teams (onshore/offshore).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to engage at CXO level.
  • Strong interpersonal, team building, organisational and motivational skills.

  • Experience working with SAP Ariba and procurement ecosystems.
  • Industry experience in Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas or Retail.
  • Experience facilitating design workshops and translating outputs into structured functional designs.
  • Awareness of digital procurement trends, including Process mining, AI/ML‑driven insights, ESG and compliance‑led procurement transformation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with ability to synthesise complex requirements into clear solutions.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast‑paced transformation environments.
  • Proven ability to support business development and client presentations at senior levels.
