Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience working with Google Ads technology or similar digital advertising platforms.
  • 8 years of experience in technical consulting, product management, or solution architecture and project management in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in translating business needs into technical specifications.
  • Preferred qualifications
  • Master's degree in a technical field.
  • Experience in an online advertising/customer growth role and familiarity with the ad serving industry and internet technologies.
  • Understanding of advertising technologies, APIs, and data integration.
  • Ability to learn complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to code with Java or Python, and construct complex SQL queries along with database knowledge.

About the job

As the Product Deployment Engineer (PDE) Manager, you are the strategic leader and primary link between g Tech Ads, Google Customer Solutions (GCS) regional leadership, and Product and Sales Activation (PSA).

You unify these functions to graduate customers along the product adoption maturity curve.

A critical mandate involves liaising with GCS PSA Leaders, Global Product Leads, and the Ads Solutions Engineering Centre of Excellence (Co E) to deploy excellent implementations.

Your team critically assesses customer needs to drive advanced product adoption.

You serve as a product advocate for g Tech Ads for complex technical product deployment.

This role balances the operational management of a specialized technical team with the execution of high-impact, regional media and product business strategies.

Operationally, you will guide a high-performing team of PDEs through complex technical projects and advanced implementations.

Strategically, you will act as the principal advisor to g Tech Ads GCS, owning the complex implementation strategy across the region.

You partner with implementation program managers, PSA leads, and regional sales directors to accelerate product adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate g Tech's value proposition into GCS sales strategies and adapt global/regional data activation strategies to meet localized market needs alongside PSA counterparts.
  • Oversee advanced implementations and custom API workarounds, while actively identifying scaling best practices to transition bespoke fixes into repeatable frameworks.
  • Build playbooks and tooling requirements, partner with cross-cluster product communities and Ads Solutions Engineering (ASE) to define technical tooling requirements Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) that automate and scale implementation delivery.

Define best practices and work with agents to scale implementations.

  • Deploy scarce, high-value technical resources toward high-opportunity sectors, establishing the metrics and case studies to quantify the business value delivered.
  • Manage and scale a high-performing team of Product Deployment Engineers, fostering a high-impact, entrepreneurial culture.
