Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will support the delivery of CGI’s external communications strategy through the planning, coordination, and execution of media relations activity. Working closely with Marketing Business Partners, communications specialists, business leaders, and the global media relations team, you will help ensure media engagement is aligned to business priorities, campaign objectives, and CGI’s wider organisational narrative.
You will take ownership of media relations activity from planning through to execution, developing compelling content, coordinating stakeholder engagement, supporting crisis communications, and tracking performance. Key responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high‑quality press releases, media statements, briefing materials, and reactive responses.
- Coordinate and execute media relations activity across sectors, business units, and communications teams.
- Partner and collaborate with Marketing Business Partners to identify media opportunities aligned to campaigns and business priorities.
- Manage and prioritise media pipelines, timelines, approvals, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
- Support and protect CGI’s reputation through effective crisis communications planning and response coordination.
- Align and integrate external communications with internal messaging to ensure consistency across all channels.
- Engage and enable spokespeople and senior leaders with messaging support and briefing materials.
- Track and report on media performance, coverage, engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
- Drive improvement by identifying insights and opportunities to enhance media relations activity.
- Maintain and uphold brand consistency, messaging standards, and responsible use of AI-enabled tools.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong media relations and communications experience, excellent writing capabilities, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders effectively. You will be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, managing competing priorities, and producing high‑quality content that supports business objectives.
