Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money. As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money.
We're looking for a Director of Analytics to lead analytics for Send — Wise's core cross-border money movement business. Our mission is bold: Wise will become the one-stop shop for money movement — the most universal and easy way of moving money for international people and businesses. In this role you'll lead a team of 7 analysts with 2 managers (and growing!), partnering with Product and leadership across 6 teams to define and drive strategy across our Send portfolio. You'll combine hands‑on analytical leadership with people management, helping build the analytics function and culture across Send.
The teams you’ll support sit across the full Send experience:
- Send Convenience: Sending money globally should be as easy and smart as using a personal assistant.
- Customer Activation Team: Helping new Wise customers take their first steps and experience the value of Wise's money movement products.
- Contacts: Wise customers can find anyone globally by a unique identifier, such as an email or phone number.
- Send Core: The foundational send experience powering Wise's cross-border money movement at scale.
- Business Send: Customers who send lots of payments find us inconvenient. Our goal is to make it efficient and delightful for these customers to set up, manage and make payments.
- Send High Value: Solves problems disproportionately impacting customers who send large amounts with Wise.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with Product and senior leadership across Send to define product and growth strategy — identifying the most impactful opportunities through deep analysis of product and customer data.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, ownership and impact.
- Collaborate with and influence cross‑functional partners (Product, Engineering, Design, Research) to implement strategy across the Send portfolio.
- Define and track OKRs and KPIs across Send; communicate progress clearly.
- Identify and implement opportunities to unblock and accelerate delivery across your teams.
- Drive the build of automated data pipelines and BI tooling to minimise repetitive work and enable data self‑serve across Send.
- Lead and coordinate cross‑team analytics projects to achieve Send's strategic objectives.
- Be a senior voice for Analytics at Wise — shaping how we build and scale the function.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Technical Skills: 7+ years of experience in analytical roles with strong data analysis skills (SQL & Python).
- Team Leadership: 4+ years of experience leading and developing analytics teams.
- Strategic Ownership: Proven experience developing and implementing strategy across a broad business area.
- Influence & Stakeholder Management: Strong collaborative instincts — you know how to influence senior stakeholders.
- Scale & Ambition: Comfortable operating at Director level — thinking across a portfolio of teams and problems.
We're people building money without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive. We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences. Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
