The Role

We are looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to support and evolve our Corporate IT and cloud operations capability as the platform and organisation scales. This role sits at the intersection of internal IT service delivery and cloud platform operations. You will provide first and second line support to internal users, manage and optimise our Microsoft 365 environment, and support operational activities across AWS and Azure. You will play a key role in ensuring colleagues remain productive, systems remain secure, and operational processes scale effectively alongside the business.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide first and second line support to internal users, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, requests and issues in line with SLAs.
  • Administer and optimise the Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Endpoint Manager.
  • Manage joiners, movers and leavers processes, ensuring access is provisioned securely and efficiently.
  • Support and improve Service Desk operations, working closely with outsourced providers to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Implement automation using PowerShell and workflows to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support cloud operations across AWS and Azure, including identity and access management, account configuration and security practices.
  • Strengthen security controls including MFA, conditional access, device compliance and least privilege access models.
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts, contributing to incident response and audit readiness.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation, including runbooks, knowledge base articles and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security and third‑party providers to improve reliability, reduce operational toil and support platform scalability.

We Look for People With

  • Hands‑on experience administering Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Endpoint Manager.
  • Experience working in a Service Desk or IT operations environment, with knowledge of ITIL processes such as incident, problem and change management.
  • Strong troubleshooting capability and ability to manage a high‑volume support queue while maintaining quality and communication standards.
  • Working knowledge of AWS and Azure operations, particularly identity, access management and security fundamentals.
  • A strong security mindset, with experience implementing and maintaining controls such as MFA, conditional access and access reviews.
  • Experience with scripting or automation (e.g. PowerShell) to improve operational efficiency.
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to create clear, structured operational content.
  • Experience working in regulated environments such as financial services or SaaS platforms is advantageous.

You demonstrate a pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach and are comfortable working across both user‑facing support and technical operations. You are organised, detail‑oriented and able to prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment. You build strong working relationships across teams and take ownership of improving how systems and processes operate.
