As a Graduate Business Consultant you’ll join our Human-Centred Design team within CGI’s Global Technology Operations (GTO) business area, where creativity, collaboration, and problem solving are central to the work we do. From day one, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that make a real impact. Our graduates are trusted with responsibility from day one, contributing to some of the UK’s most exciting industries. You’ll contribute to the design of intuitive, accessible, and meaningful products and services that deliver positive outcomes for clients and communities. Working alongside experienced consultants, designers, and technologists, you’ll develop creative and technical skills while gaining hands‑on experience across a variety of industries. In this role, you will support the delivery of user‑centred and insight-led projects that help clients improve products, services, and experiences. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand user behaviours, contribute to research and discovery activities, and help shape solutions that are functional, intuitive, and engaging. You’ll gain exposure to Human‑Centred Design approaches while developing consulting, communication, and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.

You’ll be encouraged to contribute ideas, ask questions, and explore creative ways to solve complex challenges. Working alongside experienced CGI Partners, you’ll build practical experience in user‑focused design, stakeholder collaboration, and service improvement while developing the confidence to make a meaningful contribution to project outcomes.

We recruit Business Graduate Consultants in our London and Leeds offices. As CGI is a consultancy, you may be required to work in different locations, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are key.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Degree in Human-Centred Design, Psychology, UX Design, Service Design, Product Design, Digital Media, or another creative or behavioural discipline
  • Strong empathy and interest in understanding human behaviour and user needs
  • Interest in user research, behavioural insight, or experience design
  • Creative and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work collaboratively with others
  • Interest in designing intuitive, accessible, and engaging products or services
  • Awareness of user-centred design principles or digital experiences
  • Enthusiasm for learning, innovation, and developing consulting skills
  • Minimum 2:2 degree (some roles may require a 2:1 depending on the business unit)
  • Flexibility to travel and work on different projects across the UK
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast‑paced, project‑based environment
  • Due to the security clearance requirements of this particular role, UK nationality is required.
