As an Analyst within Nectar360 Supplier Analytics at Sainsbury's, you will play a pivotal role in delivering grocery and GM analysis for FMCG clients, focusing on areas such as customer journeys, segmentation, ranging, and health. Utilising your strong analytical and communication skills, you will go beyond the data to uncover actionable insights that drive strategic decision‑making. Collaborating with internal teams and FMCG clients, you will support in collaborating with Data Science to interpret insight from campaign multi‑touch attribution model outputs within our new N360 Pollen media platform, contribute to innovation projects by integrating complex data sources, and help clients better understand customer behaviour through cross‑team insights projects. Your proactive approach and analytical mindset will be key in engaging stakeholders, delivering analytical value, and continuously enhancing analytical outputs to meet business objectives.

As an Analyst for Nectar360 Supplier Analytics at Sainsbury's, you are a skilled and proactive individual with a strong background in analytics, data interpretation, and communication. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for leveraging data to drive actionable insights, you excel in delivering high‑quality analytics and recommendations that positively impact business strategies. Your experience in working collaboratively with stakeholders, utilising SQL and BI tools, and applying statistical techniques positions you as a valuable asset in driving innovative solutions and enhancing client relationships within a fast‑paced and dynamic analytical environment.

Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrable expertise in SQL, evidenced by use of complex queries (e.g. multi‑table joins, sub‑queries, window functions, aggregations) to interrogate large, granular datasets and generate analytical outputs used for decision‑making.
  • Evidence of delivering end‑to‑end analysis (from data extraction through to insight and recommendation) that has informed or supported commercial or business decisions.
  • Experience analysing customer, product or transaction‑level data (e.g. SKU‑level, loyalty, retail, FMCG or similarly granular datasets).
  • Proven use of data visualisation or BI tools (e.g. Tableau or equivalent) to present insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience producing stakeholder‑facing outputs (reports or presentations) that translate data into clear findings and actionable recommendations.
