We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join System C and support our business through a period of transformation and growth. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, supporting a wide range of commercial and corporate legal matters. You will take a leading role in complex contract negotiations and play a key part in shaping legal and commercial processes across the organisation.
What you will be doing:
- Lead high-value contract negotiations with public sector customers
- Support contract renewals, amendments, and approval processes
- Partner closely with sales and bid teams on commercial opportunities
- Provide legal advice to senior leadership on a range of matters
- Advise on procurement frameworks, including central and local government agreements
- Support dispute management, including risk assessment and litigation considerations
- Provide guidance across IT contracts, including IP, licensing, and service agreements
- Contribute to compliance by identifying and managing contractual risk
- Support the General Counsel with governance, reporting, and M&A activities
What we are looking for:
- Qualified legal professional, ideally a Solicitor
- Strong experience in commercial contract negotiation
- Background in public sector or healthcare, or similar regulated environments
- Experience with IT contracts, licensing, and data protection concepts
- Strong attention to detail with clear and effective written communication
- Proven ability to manage complex and competing priorities
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and external advisers
