What you will do
- Support the monitoring and maintenance of SQL Server and Azure SQL databases
- Assist with backup and restore processes under guidance
- Respond to alerts and escalate issues appropriately
- Maintain documentation and follow security and governance standards
- Contribute to team activities and on-call support as confidence grows
- Support upgrading SQL server to new versions
- Assist with deployment activities
- Work with the agile DBA team to gain an understanding of development and contribute towards performance tuning
What you will bring
- A basic understanding of SQL Server or relational databases
- Awareness of cloud technologies, ideally Microsoft Azure
- A genuine willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks
- Good communication skills and a team-first mindset
