The Role

The Data Team enables the department and the business to elevate understanding of customer behaviours, marketing investment and sales performance - what is working and what is not by articulating actionable insights from complex data.

As a Lead Web / Marketing Analyst, you will be at the heart of Next’s data driven growth strategy.

What You’ll Take On

  • Own analytics across key business areas, translating complex business questions into insight driven analysis with an 80/20 mindset.
  • Conduct deep dive investigations into what drives performance. You will provide the evidence needed to pivot strategies, scale successful campaigns, or cut inefficient spend.
  • Build scalable datasets and automated reporting solutions. You’ll identify unmet reporting needs and prioritise the development of tools that save time and add value.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Trade and Data teams, translating technical data into clear, commercially grounded recommendations that senior stakeholders can act on immediately.
  • Actively resolve data discrepancies and errors. You will continuously improve data quality, documentation and analytics standards across the department.

What You’ll Bring

Technical and marketing expertise

  • Deep understanding of data structures from various marketing platforms including Google marketing suite, Google SA360, Meta Business manager, Google Analytics.
  • Experience extracting and manipulating data from denormalised sources using SQL, Databricks and Biq Query.
  • Experience in dashboards building in Power BI.
  • Experience in an ecommerce environment, ideally working in a retail or marketing agency.

Commercial skills

  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical data and commercial outcomes, telling a compelling story to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in marketing landscape, ROI analysis, and sizing commercial opportunities.
  • A track record of working cross functionally to align on unified business goals.
  • A proactive approach to data integrity and a drive to automate manual processes.
