ESG Specialist (12-13 Month Maternity Cover) – Leeds – Hybrid | Professional Services

We're now looking for an ESG Specialist to join us on a 12-13 month maternity cover, supporting the delivery of our ESG commitments across the UK and Europe.

The opportunity

This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with colleagues across the business, senior stakeholders and external partners to turn ESG ambition into action. You'll play a key role in data-driven decision-making, regulatory readiness and continuous improvement across our environmental and wider ESG agenda. What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the delivery of Cox Automotive Europe's ESG strategy and action plans
  • Driving carbon reduction initiatives with business units across the UK and EU
  • Engaging suppliers to improve Scope 3 emissions data collection and quality
  • Collecting, validating and analysing GHG emissions data across Scopes 1, 2 and 3
  • Tracking ESG targets and KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting ESG questionnaires, ratings, tenders and customer information requests
  • Monitoring ESG legislation, standards and frameworks (e.g. CSRD, SECR, GHG Protocol) and highlighting business impacts
  • Working cross-functionally through the Sustainability ERG to embed best practice
  • Maintaining robust documentation, controls and audit-ready evidence

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in environmental sustainability, ESG or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills
