We are looking for a Solution Architect with experience in the Space Domain Awareness domain to specify and assess future capability offerings for the BOREALIS system. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be a hybrid position, working out of our site in Leatherhead.

Your future duties and responsibilities include:

  • Working alongside, but separate to, the agile development teams, this role will span all aspects of the project.
  • Work with the client to confirm function need.
  • Investigate and evaluate potential solutions to satisfy this need.
  • Lead the integration of the capability into the Borealis system.
  • Assess the resulting performance in a representative operational environment.

Key duties:

  • Communicate with clients to define requirements.
  • Research and assess candidate solutions.
  • Develop integration architecture with Borealis.
  • Liaise with supplier and across Borealis team.
  • Present results to all stakeholders.

Required qualifications:

  • Degree, Masters or PhD in [Astro]Physics or similar subject.
  • Experience of working in Space Domain Awareness.
  • Communication and presentation skills across all levels.

Desired Competencies:

  • Knowledge of space dynamics, Space Domain Awareness concepts and issues.
  • Knowledge of ground and space based observations.
  • Systems thinking and design principles.
  • Knowledge of software architectures and development methodologies.
