Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimise IMS environments to ensure performance, stability, and resilience of critical mainframe systems.
- Support high‑availability operations and resolve multi‑faceted incidents.
- Collaborate with teams across the bank while contributing to ongoing modernisation and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Ample knowledge of IMS DB/DC, z/OS, JCL, system utilities, and mainframe infrastructure.
- Ability to diagnose multi‑faceted production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and restore service quickly in a high‑availability environment.
- Experience implementing changes safely, maintaining system stability, and ensuring performance, recovery, and operational resilience.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Assembler with experience supporting user exits (advantageous but not necessary).
- Ability to improve efficiency through scripting, job automation, monitoring, and process optimisation.
- Understanding of the IMS Catalog and IMS Managed ACB concepts.
