We are in search of two Systems Engineers for our Leidos engineering capability. Using your experience in Systems Engineering, you will be responsible for working with customers and suppliers to execute Systems Engineering activities across the full lifecycle, with a focus on the low-level system design.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Maintain Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM).
- Update artefacts (designs and documents) so that they map to RVTM.
- Work with Testers to Review Requirements against Test cases/acceptance criteria, identify gaps, propose solutions and manage exceptions/mitigations.
- Define and update acceptance criteria and get agreement from customer/stakeholders.
- Support the definition and design of interfaces.
- Version control all relevant SE artefacts and agreed interfaces.
- Document and manage programme V Model activities and Artefacts while liaising with delivery team leads.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, and network components.
- Document data flow and data matrix views of a system.
- Contribute to Systems Concept of Operations Document through process definition and documentation.
- Track and present progress of deliverables and dependencies.
- Review and Update Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) when needed.
- Document engineering management/governance processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven track record with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Systems Engineering role for IT/software systems.
- Familiarity in working within at least Systems Engineering Frameworks e.g., ICOSE, NAF, DODAF, MODAF, MBSE.
- Good working knowledge of Software and Hardware used for IT systems technologies.
- Experience of Systems Engineering within a Software/IT delivery.
- Experience of working within Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Self-Starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or suitable experience in an Engineering or Technology subject.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ideally proficient with system modelling tools (e.g., SysML, UML) and enterprise design software/system modelling (e.g., Cameo, Archimate).
Security Clearance / Other:
- Ability to gain Metropolitan Police Service NPPV2 security clearance (essential).
- Willingness to gain MOD DV (advantageous).
- Work can be done from Home Location.
- Expected to be in the Farnborough office 2 days per fortnight.
- Expected to attend Programme Increment planning 5 Days every 3 months in Leidos Office (Farnborough/Glasgow) and be able to attend customer location (Greater London) when needed; typically 2 days per month.
