Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you may be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance. An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

As one of our Infrastructure Engineers, you will be taking the lead in a diverse, fast-paced, constantly evolving team where we deliver world class secure platforms that make a real difference to our customers.
This job role can be based in London, Cheltenham or Ipswich. Onsite (5 days office based). Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. DV Security Clearance is required. Must have lived in the UK for 10+ years to obtain clearance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing the architectural direction for health and security monitoring technologies across a large platform
- Engaging closely with operational teams to understand their use cases and requirements for monitoring toolsets
- Collaborating with technical architects and security leads to ensure compliance with design standards and security requirements
- Documenting processes and procedures required for deployment, maintenance and operational use of monitoring technologies
- Championing the use of automation and orchestration capabilities to promote efficiency and improve working processes

What we'd like to see on your CV:
Mandatory:
- Familiarity with using Linux operating systems
- Experience with one or more of the following areas:
- Administering or deploying monitoring and observability tools such as CheckMK, Prometheus or Zabbix
- Administering or deploying SIEM tools such as Elastic Security, Splunk or Trellix ESM
- Working with dashboarding and visualisation tools such as Kibana or Grafana
Preferred:
- Ansible automation experience
- Knowledge of monitoring networking equipment using SNMP
- Understanding of data pipeline tools like NiFi
- Experience working in operational environments
- Knowledge of data tuning and data quality processes
