About this role
We're looking for a commercial leader to drive the growth of our UK Grocery & Retail business.
In this role, you will embody our values to lead, deliver, and care across two vital strategic pillars.
You will spearhead the acquisition of high‑value enterprise brands from prospecting to launch.
Concurrently, you'll steer the strategy and performance of our Grocery & Retail Independents business.
By championing a customer‑centric approach, you'll build high‑performing teams and foster the cross‑functional teamwork to deliver sustainable growth across new and existing portfolios.
Key components to the position
- Identify and secure high‑value enterprise partners, aiming high to support our long‑term growth strategy.
- Own the full acquisition lifecycle from pitching and complex negotiations to successful brand launches.
- Structure sustainable partnership agreements, balancing commission models, marketing investment, and exclusivity.
- Lead the commercial strategy for Grocery & Retail Independents, driving excellence across the entire portfolio.
- Manage and convert formal RFP/RFI processes for major national and regional partnership opportunities.
- Partner with Product, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to optimize our proposition and improve customer experiences.
- Utilize performance data and deep market insights to shape business strategy and prioritize opportunities.
- Develop and maintain high‑level engagement strategies with critical senior stakeholders and C‑suite executives.
- Manage a large commercial portfolio, delivering incremental revenue, order volume, and active partner growth.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing commercial team, leveraging collaboration and helping one another succeed .
