An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer to join an established, dynamic and exciting team of development Engineers working on bespoke manufacturing equipment from new state of the art premises just off the M1 between Sheffield and Leeds.
The role will be focussed on testing machines and newly created software, creating associated Technical Documentation plus an ability to communicate confidently with colleagues and customers alike as a portion of the role would also be customer facing, providing installation support and customer training.
Any applicant should be excited by the opportunity to complete a full range of tasks, as outlined below:
- Testing machines / testing software
- Customer machine installations
- Running Samples and providing concise accurate data for Customers / Sales Support
- Generating Professional Documentation
- Doing Customer Training (both on and off site)
- Troubleshooting Issues (both on and off site)
- Software – should be able to demonstrate an appreciation of software - but would not need to be an experienced programmer.
- Proficient with basic tools and confident with basic low voltage control systems
- Provide assistance and support to the Senior Programmers
Ideal for a new Graduate looking for a long term development opportunity. Applicants will work closely with the Software Engineering Team, working in conjunction with them and the development team on a wide range of projects, helping to develop, document and deliver new products and enhancing existing ones.
A willingness to travel, a full driving license and passport will be essential for the completion of the role. A passion for involvement and adding value combined with an interest in software, developing new skills and working on actual innovative products will be essential. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and a good attention for detail.
