At CGI, you will play a key role in designing and delivering secure, high‑performance infrastructure that underpins mission‑critical systems across the Space, Defence and Intelligence sector. You will build resilient cloud and on‑premise environments that enable innovation and operational excellence. Working with clients, partners, and internal teams you will take ownership of complex infrastructure challenges, contribute creative solutions and grow your career in a collaborative and supportive environment. Due to the secure nature of the programme you must hold a UK Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain one. The position will be based on site near Gloucester or in Central London, 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver infrastructure solutions across cloud and on‑premise environments.
- Deploy and configure compute, storage, and network components.
- Integrate and support cloud platforms, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimise system performance, availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across infrastructure services.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver solutions.
- Report and communicate system status, risks and technical updates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in infrastructure engineering.
- Strong systems administration skills within enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure or virtualised environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Proven ability in troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Experience with container technologies and image management (desirable).
- Knowledge of automation, scripting or secure environments (advantageous).
