Version 1 is a digital‑first consultancy and service provider, and an AWS Premier Consulting Partner. As an AWS DevOps Engineer you will work in the AWS Practice to design, build and deploy cloud‑based solutions using AWS services, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling. Your projects will involve high‑profile customers in Europe and will require a mix of technical and solution‑focused roles. The role is varied in scope and technology, and can entail the development of innovative solutions in the cloud, delivering cloud migration projects, and helping development teams with DevOps technologies such as CI/CD pipelines and configuration management.

Objectives

  • Develop AWS Platform using Terraform and build CI/CD pipelines
  • Work with AWS best practices
  • Help Version 1 build our reputation with the customer
  • Use your expertise to provide thought leadership

Location: Gloucestershire offices – required to work on site 4 days a week. Support for travel and accommodation costs may be discussed.

Essential Criteria

  • Currently Security Cleared (SC)
  • Able to work on site in Gloucestershire based offices 4 days a week
  • Experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer or similar (Cloud Engineer or Platform Engineer) working with AWS
  • Proficient with DevOps tooling such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Kubernetes, AWS CI/CD services, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one software development language (Python, NodeJS, Java, Ruby or similar)
  • Practical experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Bash
