The BT group operates a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.

About the role

This role sits within BT Wholesale’s Digital Experience team, focused on building a new strategic customer portal for wholesale clients. You will act as a Product Owner for a key area of the portal, shaping and delivering end-to-end digital journeys that allow wholesale customers to order and manage BT’s strategic products. This is a greenfield opportunity, joining at design phase and taking ownership through build, launch and continuous improvement. The role will play a critical part in delivering BT’s strategy to modernise customer experience and enable digital-first B2B interactions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own a defined area of the wholesale digital portal, setting clear product vision and priorities
  • Gather and translate customer and business requirements into deliverable product features
  • Lead an Agile squad, prioritising backlog and coordinating delivery across design, engineering and analysis teams
  • Define and deliver end-to-end digital journeys for wholesale customers, from access through to transaction completion
  • Collaborate with UX designers, developers and stakeholders to create simple, effective customer experiences
  • Influence and align stakeholders across a complex, matrix organisation
  • Challenge teams to improve speed, quality and innovation in delivery
  • Embed a “digital-first” and increasingly AI-enabled approach to product development
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient and aligned to broader product and platform strategy

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner within an Agile delivery environment, with ownership of backlog and prioritisation
  • Experience delivering end-to-end digital customer journeys, ideally within transactional platforms
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence across complex, matrix organisations

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience working on B2B digital products or platforms
  • Background in large enterprise environments with multiple governance layers
  • Experience within telecommunications or a related industry
  • Understanding of wholesale or reseller business models
  • Familiarity with modern web technologies (e.g. front-end frameworks such as React)
  • Curiosity or exposure to AI-driven product development approaches
