About the Role
Team – Agency & Commissions
Working Pattern – Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working!

What this role is all about
We’re looking for a detail-driven Commissions Analyst to join our growing Agency & Commissions team in Bournemouth. This role sits at the heart of ensuring commission payments are calculated accurately and paid correctly to our partners, while investigating queries, supporting audits and contributing to key projects. It’s a great opportunity for someone with strong numerical skills, experience in life and health insurance, and a finance or data background to develop specialist knowledge in commissions within a fast-paced environment.
Key Actions:
- Undertake Commissions Team BAU
- Calculate, validate and analyse commission payments
- Investigate and resolve commission discrepancies and escalated queries
- Manage escalation allocation within the Commissions Team
- Engage with brokers, consultants and stakeholders on complex queries
- Act as a key point of contact for external partners via phone and email
- Produce and interpret data analysis to support decision-making and issue resolution
- Support audits and ensure adherence to internal financial controls and processes
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and data integrity across all commission activities
- Contribute to Commissions Team and wider A&C projects
What do you need to thrive?
- Experience of working in a finance/ops team in a financial services organisation
- Experience analysing data
- Understanding of the importance of data protection
- Experience communicating (written and verbal) with external third parties
- Experience working with commissions in the financial services sector
- Working towards an AAT qualification (or other finance qualification)
- Intermediate Excel skills (data analysis, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
- Customer focused communicator with strong, confident phone manner
- Organised team player with commercial awareness and self-motivation
