Overview
TE Connectivity\’s CNC Machinists prepare detailed numerical control programs for use in production on numerical controlled machinery; they run the EDM, including programming, setup and operation. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity\’s EH&S policies and procedures.

Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity\’s EH&S policies and procedures.
- Set up and operate CNC sliding head lathes, including installation and adjustment of collets, tooling, spindle liners, and bar feeders.
- Making necessary adjustments to programs where required.
- Ensure components meet specifications in accordance with engineering drawings and quality procedures.
- Record daily operations and contribute to operational equipment effectiveness (OEE) tracking.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean tools and methods from the TEOA site plan.
- Maintain and improve time standards and ensure daily maintenance is completed.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Support ad-hoc tasks and reasonable requests from the business within Production or related areas.
What Your Background Should Look Like
- Minimum of 2 years of experience setting and operating.
- Proven experience with CNC sliding head lathes (Star, Citizen, etc).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Proficient in using a range of measurement equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all TE policies and procedures, including EHS and safety-first practices, while delivering exceptional ECE.
- Promote and embody company values and key behaviours in all actions.
- Demonstrate the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure exemplary work standards with minimal defects.
- Organized and self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Show initiative, flexibility, and a willingness to take on additional tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
