Description
We are seeking an experienced Global Senior Innovation Manager (m/f/d) to drive all types of Innovation across our international offices. This role will report to the Global Director of Innovation, Knowledge and Learning and will work closely with senior stakeholders across our international organisation to implement transformative initiatives and foster a culture of innovation. A wide variety of Innovation and legal/professional services sector experience is ideal. The role requires regular international travel to support our offices across Europe (primarily), Asia, and the Americas.
Responsibilities
- Co-create and coordinate the development and execution of the global corporate innovation strategy across international offices in line with local strategies and approaches.
- Drive innovation in our digital transformation projects across multiple jurisdictions together with the Director for Strategy, Programme and Change.
- Evaluate and implement AI and automation solutions within a multidisciplinary international team, supporting adaptable innovation frameworks and developing client-facing solutions for cross-firm use.
- Build relationships with legal tech vendors and innovation partners and manage or co-manage key global products.
- Coordinate with regional teams to standardize and optimize operational and legal processes, and collaborate on broader change management issues.
- Together with L&D teams, design and implement global innovation training for all fee earners, and integrate technology training into the CMS Academy curriculum.
- Lead innovation workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions across international offices, and create digital content on legal innovation for firms digital channels.
- Partner with Global PAG/Sector Group Leaders and BD teams to develop innovative client solutions.
- Support the development of alternative service delivery models (to the extent this is a strategic priority).
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in a global law firm or similar professional services environment.
- Extensive experience in legal innovation, strategy implementation (beyond just legal tech), and digital transformation.
- Strong track record of successful project delivery and co-ordination in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
- Deep understanding of legal technology landscape and emerging trends.
- Proven experience in change management and senior stakeholder engagement.
- Outstanding communication, influencing and presentation skills to international board level.
- Experience managing significant budgets and vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working across different cultures and jurisdictions.
- Ideally qualified lawyer or legally trained.
