Job Description Summary
Lead Quality Systems Engineer will be an integral part of Quality Systems and Compliance team at GE Aerospace Dowty Propellers Headquarters at Brockworth, Gloucester. Successful candidate will be working cross-functionally on wide range of business improvement projects such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) migration and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) adoption. Your primary responsibilities will include business process development & deployment supported by ERP and other peripherals. You\’ll also play a key role in maintaining the existing systems and supporting users in the capacity of subject matter expert on on-going basis.

Responsibilities
- Establish quality processes supported by the business ERP and its peripheral systems to ensure their alignment with digital manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Review current quality gateway processes against the new ERP system capability and optimising them with lean mindset.
- Support and represent Quality in the design and development of future state processes and their implementation.
- Participate in CRP (Conference Room Pilot) sessions to ensure quality & product safety requirements are understood and functionality signed off as being fit for purpose.
- Writing up quality procedures in support of new ERP and MES functionality and align with industry standard (AS/EN9100) and regulatory requirement (Part21 & Part145).
- Responsible for auditing IT infra-structure against regulatory requirements (EASA Part-IS).
- Ensure sustainment of new systems and its processes by acting as a superuser and account management for all stakeholders.
- Act as a guardian for company\’s other pillar applications supporting quality processes and ensure maintenance of these applications.
- Develop a roadmap of quality systems and integrated with the business strategy in the light of corporate guidance.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrable experience in change management of business processes.
- Quality all-rounder and with knowledge of AS9100 and regulatory Part21 and Part145.
- Experience of hosting audit with external bodies.
- Good understanding of quality gated processes and their control points.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes in an engineering business.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to engage with stake holders at all levels of the business.
