Job Description
Morson Talent is partnering with a leading client in the Bristol area to recruit their next CNC Maintenance Engineer.
Duration: 6 Months
Rates: £17.14
Location: Bristol
Role Purpose:
To carry out planned TPM maintenance tasks on a variety of machine tools within the IMF. Tasks to include cleaning sub-assemblies, machine alignments, axis balancing, Ball bar checks, running calibration programs and recording of pressures and flows& collect relevant data
Key Responsibilities
• Taking measurements and adjusting machine tools
• Altering machine parameters
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Reporting of defects and additional works through CMMS (Concept)
• To carry out Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly TPM task as per the TPM plan
• To achieve 100% adherence to the TPM plan.
• Must be able to carry out electrical / mechanical checks in a safe manner.
• Must be able to carry out measurements and adjustments on CNC controls.
• Will adhere to current Health and Safety policies such as R.A, SSOW, COSHH.
• Will report defects / additional work via the Concept Computerised Maintenance Management System and to the maintenance planner.
• Will be able to work as part of a team or autonomously.
• Will liaise with production to take possession of and hand back machinery in accordance with Safe Systems of Work procedures.
• To carryout oil/ filter changes as per schedule.
• Carryout precision measurement/ Use of ball bar equipment.
Qualifications and Skills – Formal Qualifications
Essential
• The ability to interface with production to release and hand back machinery
• Time served maintenance engineer with several years' experience holding City and Guilds or BTEC certificates or transferable experience & knowledge
Desirable
• Experience within the machine tool maintenance field
• Good team player willing to work autonomously if required
• Sound mechanical / electrical background
