This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Plant MP&L team. Through our Linefeed Logistics we manage the flow of parts from vehicle/material scheduling to delivery to line.
Plant MP&L is a challenging, lively, fast-paced, and dynamic environment to work in. Our key focuses are driving flexible solutions and approaches to changing business needs, driving our suppliers and LLP to deliver resilient part supply to line, creating, managing, and delivering complex site flow solutions and driving accuracy of data on our systems. Reporting and communication are huge part of MP&L from financial to build schedules to an individual part supply.
We are constantly looking to improve and adapt to drive efficiencies and improvements across our logistics solutions to support the needs and requirements of manufacturing and Solihull site goals.
Our Material flow team is an ideal opportunity to use the skills and experience you already have to support our focus of driving cross functional collaboration to deliver the business outcomes.
WHAT TO EXPECT
As the Materiel FLow Leader, you'll support activities in the development of vehicle programmes for MP&L, including business cases, feasibility studies, providing in-plant logistics costs, and solutions for all current & future models / facilities as well as this you'll:
• Deliver projects utilising project management techniques to ensure the delivery and achievement of planned outcomes to support the logistics strategic business objectives
• Use logistics principles to develop more effective and efficient Market place, linefeed & lineside solutions.
• Maintain and report MP&L deliverables and milestones on-time and to target
• Utilise data analysis tools to manipulate large quantities of data to drive key decisions into logistics strategies
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills you'll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
• Delivery of logistics solutions including facility design & implementation using the latest technologies & Digital systems
• Proven Automotive or Engineering Logistics planning experience
• Experience of using AutoCAD
• Demonstrate problem-solving capability
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of management
• Literate in Microsoft office suite specifically Excel/PowerPoint for financials & business case creation
• Project management experience
• Relevant degree or experience
