Job Description
Your new company
A relationship based business renowned in NI as a reputable manufacturing company to work. A firm focus is placed on customer service from initial discussions through to delivery of the end product. Due to the massive successful contract wins they have a requirement to increase the CNC team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Value Stream Manager, the CNC Machinist is responsible for; manufacturing precision components compliant with drawing requirements including tolerances and specifications, carrying out self-verification of technical compliance with appropriate measuring equipment and techniques. Operation of CNC mill turn / mills / gear shaping machines, interpreting engineering drawings to ISO standards, setting up, loading and programme prove out, assist selection of appropriate cutters, tools and optimisation of speeds and feeds for ferrous materials and use of engineering metrology from first principles including inspection, gauging, and measuring techniques, resulting in the production of high quality work.
Shift pattern (Currently): 2 weeks Mon – Wed 07.30-19.50 (12hrs 20mins)2 weeks Thurs-Sat 07.30-19.50 (12hrs 20mins)
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have NVQ L3 in a relevant discipline or equivalent, experience in an engineering/manufacturing/aerospace environment, experience of setting operating twin spindle, twin turret, multi axis CNC machine tools. You will have the ability to read and understand work instructions, reading and interpreting engineering drawings and production cards. Knowledge of Siemen controls and machining.
