About the Role:

We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Shift Engineer to join the engineering team for one of our clients. This role involves maintaining and repairing machinery and site services, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting the sites overall performance. You will work closely with production teams to optimize equipment performance, identify areas for improvement, and play a key role in continuous improvement activities.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities at both sites:

  • Develops and maintains an integrated production operation to meet agreed health, safety, and quality engineering and technical standards.
  • Optimises line performance to meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators in equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Carries out planned maintenance activities and suggests ways to improve them based on observations and history and makes them happen.
  • Routinely analyses line performance data and takes appropriate action to improve performance.
  • Participates and leads continuous improvement and problem-solving activities to improve performance.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to demonstrate a track record of working as part of a team.
  • Able to use their initiative and challenge current practices.
  • Able to drive continuous improvement and promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business.
  • Good communicator and well-organized.
  • Be flexible as and when required.

Package:

£50,000 per year

Nights 10 p.m. – 6 a.m. Sunday – Friday
