Estimator – Industrial and Commercial Roofing Portsmouth Salary up to £80,000 + 25 day Holiday + Pension Blaymires Recruitment is representing a specialist roofing contractor based near Portsmouth who is searching for a Roofing Estimator to join the business. The company works directly with surveyors and building owners to deliver high-quality industrial and commercial roofing refurbishment projects across the UK. With ambitious growth plans in place, this is an opportunity to join a thriving business and take on a senior role with long-term career prospects. The company is seeking an experienced and results-driven Estimator with Roofing experience to take full ownership of the tendering process, managing each opportunity from enquiry right through to securing the purchase order. In this role, you will: * Handle the entire estimating and tender process, ensuring projects are accurately scoped, specified, and priced to win work. * Attend site visits to measure up works, assess project requirements, and meet clients face-to-face to discuss proposals. * Work closely with the supply chain network, engaging manufacturers and suppliers to help develop robust, tailored specifications for each project. * Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business opportunities. * Provide detailed handovers to the Projects Team for smooth delivery of secured contracts. * Follow established processes while bringing your expertise to improve and enhance the estimating department. * Deliver consistent results, meeting targets for securing new work in the £250k–£3M range. Requirements of the role: * Proven track record in estimating and winning roofing and building envelope refurbishment projects. * Experience working directly with clients and surveyors on commercial and industrial projects. * Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems, sheeting, and cladding works. * Confident communicator, capable of leading site surveys and client discussions. * Commercially astute, organised, and self-managed, able to work under pressure to deadlines. * Experience liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to build accurate, competitive project specifications.
