Our Client, Urenco; trusted, long-term supplier to the nuclear industry, specialising in safe, cost effective and reliable uranium enrichment services, are looking for an Instrument Technician (Commissioning) on a contract basis (inside IR35), to be based in Capenhurst near Chester. In this contract position, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplined technical engineering team with core electrical, control, and instrumentation skills, providing maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, calibration, inspection, and modification of plant and process-related equipment in a safe, cost-effective, and reliable manner. Rate: £42-45 Umbrella (Inside IR35) Duties and Responsibilities: Health and Safety – Promote and ensure the health and safety of individuals, plant, and the environment to maintain high levels of personal safety, plant integrity, and environmental compliance. – Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, or ISO. Instrumentation Tasks – Undertake all aspects of instrumentation plant installation, commissioning, and handover. – Work on process instrumentation and undertake commissioning and calibration of level transmitters (radar/ultrasonic), flowmeters (magflow/vortex/DP), pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters (RTD & thermocouple), pH/conductivity analysers, PID controllers, and gas monitors.
