We have an exciting new opportunity for an Ethics & Compliance Governance Data Analyst to join our Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Ethics & Compliance, and Secretariat Function (LRECS). This is a fantastic entry level opportunity to join our Compliance and Governance team, an innovative and dynamic team that is responsible for maintaining appropriate Governance across Group Ethics & Compliance.
Location: We work flexibly in line with our Flexible First working arrangements believing that empowered colleagues are happier and more productive. The successful candidate will, however, need to be comfortable commuting to our Windsor office on at least a once-weekly basis.
What will you do?
In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting large datasets to provide a proactive view of regulatory risk across Centrica Group entities, focusing on enhancing compliance effectiveness through data-driven insights. Your duties will include developing and maintaining governance trackers, risk logs, and dashboards, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure these tools are fit for purpose.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Collecting and analysing relevant data to support reporting across various forums.
- Sourcing, collating, and analysing data from multiple business units to prioritize activities across assurance, governance, compliance, and ethics teams.
- Conducting data validation activities to ensure the reliability and accuracy of data, ensuring trends and actions triggered by data analytics are correct.
- Identifying relevant KPIs for each team and assessing business unit performance across various metrics and trends.
- Regularly liaising with stakeholders in Ethics and Compliance to support their compliance activities.
- Analysing, validating, and providing assurance on regulatory reporting.
- Assisting with other tasks within the Governance and E&C teams as needed.
Who are we looking for?
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to enhance their data analysis skills. Ideally, you will have:
- Experience with analytical tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and relevant business information systems and repositories.
- Experience or educated in statistical, data analysis and data science.
- Familiarity with compliance, governance, or assurance programs and activities is a plus.
- The ability to interpret data at its most granular level to identify trends and effectively communicate these to relevant teams and leaders.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication, impact, and influencing skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
