Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Legal Secretary with experience in Family Law to join their close-knit team and provide vital secretarial and administrative support to fee earners within the Family department.
The ideal candidate will have a calm and empathetic approach, proven secretarial experience in a legal setting, and the ability to manage sensitive client matters with professionalism and confidentiality. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual looking to join a supportive firm offering hybrid working and a flexible benefits package.
- Produce accurate legal documents from digital dictation, written instructions, or standard templates within Family Law, including court forms, statements, and correspondence
- Manage telephone calls and relay sensitive messages in a timely and discreet manner
- Maintain and coordinate the Fee Earner’s diary, including court dates, client appointments, and deadlines
- Greet and assist clients both in person and via telephone with a professional, supportive manner while maintaining client confidentiality
- Liaise with third parties including courts, barristers, expert witnesses, and other legal professionals on Family Law matters
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within Family Law
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures relevant to Family Law cases
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
- Excellent audio typing skills and high attention to detail
- Confident communication skills with a sensitive, empathetic approach to client interaction
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
