Job Description
Multiple Calibration Engineer Technician positions available at various levels, with a world-leading calibration services company, working for my client who are based in South Manchester.
Our client will consider candidates who have completed a mechanical apprenticeship, recently Mechanical Engineering graduates or candidates from a mechanical inspection, quality, machining, toolmaking background who have experience of using and or calibrated standard dimensional measuring equipment
Salary for all roles is dependent on previous experience within a calibration role or exposure to calibration whilst in education.

Location: South Manchester
Dimensional Calibration Technicians:
Specialising or have knowledge of calibrating measuring equipment to ISO9001 and BS EN ISO 17025 standards. You'll maintain precise records, contribute to quality assurance processes, and participate in internal/external audits. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or above in a similar discipline, strong IT skills, and experience in customer-focused environments.
Senior Mechanical / Dimensional Calibration Engineer
Lead specialised calibration projects for measuring instrumentation including Micrometres, Callipers, Height Gauges, Torque Wrenches, and Gauge Blocks. You'll develop procedures, oversee calibration certification, and mentor team members. Requirements include technical qualification (Degree/HND/HNC/NVQ/BTEC), UKAS signatory status, and extensive calibration knowledge.
Electrical / Pressure / Temperature Calibration Engineer
Conduct specialist calibration and repair operations on electrical measuring/test equipment such as Calibrators, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, DMMs, PAT testers, and pressure instruments. You'll maintain certification systems and participate in inter-laboratory measurement audits. Technical qualification required in Electrical/Electronic field (Degree/HND/HNC/NVQ/BTEC Level 3+).
