Marks Sattin is partnering with a leading international business to recruit a Junior Accounts Assistant focused on Accounts Payable. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their finance career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
No experience is necessary, but some experience would be beneficial!
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you\’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Accounts Payable function. You\’ll be responsible for processing invoices, managing supplier queries, and supporting payment runs, all while gaining hands-on experience in a global finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately
- Match purchase orders and delivery notes to invoices
- Assist with weekly payment runs and manual payments
- Maintain supplier records and resolve queries
- Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies
- Support VAT coding and documentation
- Help with setting up new supplier accounts
- Provide general admin support to the finance team
- Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks and projects
About You
- AAT Level 2 or 3 (or working towards)
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Confident communicator and team player
- Comfortable using Excel and accounting systems (SAP/Sage experience is a bonus)
- Eager to learn and grow within a finance function
