Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Supervisor to oversee and manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and industry experience in freight forwarding or logistics, ensuring accurate financial processing and timely reporting. This role plays a key part in maintaining the company\’s financial integrity and optimizing cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable (AP):

Supervise the full AP cycle, including invoice processing, approval workflows, and timely vendor payments.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or disputes.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Monitor and manage aging reports and cash disbursement schedules.
Accounts Receivable (AR):

Oversee billing, collections, and cash application processes.

Manage customer account reconciliations and resolve payment issues promptly.

Ensure timely invoicing in accordance with contract terms and industry standards.

Work closely with sales and operations to manage credit limits and customer disputes.
General Finance & Freight Forwarding:

Collaborate with operational teams to ensure proper revenue recognition, particularly for freight, customs, and warehousing activities.

Understand cost allocations and margin analysis for freight-related transactions.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.

Support audits and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.

Lead and develop a small finance team, providing mentor-ship and training as needed.
Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in AP/AR, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Freight forwarding or logistics industry experience strongly preferred.

Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).

Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial reporting tools.
