Work for a leading engineering consultancy specializing in Building Services. Join a dynamic team of experienced engineers and designers providing innovative and sustainable solutions for a range of projects across various sectors, in the UK and Internationally. The firm is independently owned by the Directors and employees, all based together in one office, supporting each other without corporate interference or distractions irrelevant to project delivery. They can provide technical support when needed, but otherwise trust employees to independently manage their workload. As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, you will be contributing to the electrical design solutions on complex projects from initial concept through to final delivery Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the electrical design from initial concept to final delivery on complex and large-scale UK and International projects across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, healthcare and industrial.
  • Manage the delivery of electrical design solutions in accordance with British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
  • Produce detailed electrical designs and specifications for projects, ensuring compliance with performance requirements and energy efficiency standards.
  • Undertake detailed calculations and simulations to validate the electrical design solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and design team members to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging electrical design technologies and practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • UK experience in electrical design engineering within the building services industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience in using electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
