A Little More About Your Role…

Digital is changing the way we deliver and over the coming years will help the Water industry achieve AMP8 delivery targets. Emerging technologies such as Generative Design, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twins and advanced analytics will change at pace and will play a significant role transforming our industry to deliver more sustainable, high quality outcomes.

We are supporting our clients who are pushing the boundaries of technology to increase productivity and deliver real efficiencies throughout the asset lifecycle including operations, strategy, planning, design, procurement and build stages of their programmes.

The Digital Consultant will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation and innovation within our team. This position is essential for identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, recommending and integrating digital tools, and ensuring alignment with team and business goals. You will be expected to challenge our teams approach to how they work, and support them to adopt and embed digital tools into their work. You will help our teams to improve the integration between the software packages they use, improving efficiency in delivery. The Digital Consultant will support solution development, provide technical support, facilitate training and documentation, and foster a culture of innovation.

  • Process Improvement and Automation: Work with our teams to review current processes and workflows. Identify pain points and opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Challenge Existing Practice: Proactively identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Digital Tools Recommendation: Identify and integrate digital tools to streamline operations. Leverage technologies such as BIM, computational design, and data analytics.
  • Value Case Development: Create compelling arguments for project value, including benefits, costs, and potential ROI.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collect and document stakeholder needs to develop accurate scope for solution development
  • Solution Development: Create and implement effective solutions to meet specific needs. Leverage digital delivery and design technology to support our team.
  • Implementation Support: Plan, test, and train to ensure smooth and successful solution implementation.
  • Innovation: Develop new ideas and approaches to improve processes and create value. Generate ideas, involve clients, and collaborate with suppliers and innovators.

What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…

  • Undergraduate or higher Degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience and qualifications
  • A clear understanding of the wider digital developments and associated benefits in the water or construction industry;
  • Experience of digital project delivery;
  • Good knowledge of programming languages and data integration tools such as Python and FME;
  • Experience in the use of Desktop GIS packages such as QGIS and ArcGIS Pro, as well as web based technologies for creating interactive web maps and applications;
  • Appreciation and awareness of a variety of programming languages, visualisation, modelling and automation packages and their interoperability;
  • Experience of management of data and the use of data to drive decision making;
  • Possess strong communication skills to effectively understand team requirements and influence behaviors, fostering a culture of innovation.
