We have a unique opportunity for a highly experienced Governance Improvement Lead to advance governance and regulation capabilities across LHP.
The Governance Improvement Lead will strengthen corporate oversight, embed best practice frameworks, and drive continuous improvement in governance and regulation structures, systems, and processes.
Location: Home based, with visit to Grimsby/ Boston offices as required
Salary: £48,910.00
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday- Friday, 37 hours per week,

What could a typical week look like as our Governance Improvement Lead?
Working at LHP offers variety, challenge and the chance to make a real difference – but it\’s not always easy, you\’ll have a fantastic team around you as support and to celebrate your team success.
A typical week could look like:
- Coordinate projects relating to NED Talent Management and Board effectiveness reviews
- Draft insight-driven reports for the Leadership Team and Board Members
- Conduct horizon scanning, staying up to date with legislative and regulatory updates and sector developments
- Coordinate legal and regulatory compliance activities with service leads
- Facilitate cross team process review workshops to identify inefficiencies
- Collaborate with IT and digital teams to design or refine automated workflows as well as test AI-enabled tools
- Produce training, guidance and materials such as templates and tools to ensure colleagues understand and act on changes
- Finalise communication materials for upcoming policy or regulatory changes
- Coordinate policy and procedure reviews with service leads
- Reflective time for innovation and feedback loops
- Meet with the change function to ensure governance and regulation alignment with project frameworks
- Engagement with the team in weekly catch ups as well as connecting with customers in our communities
- Weekly wrap-up and planning for the following week

What Skills, Abilities, Knowledge and Experience will I need as a Governance Improvement Lead?
- Experience in governance, regulatory compliance or assurance within highly regulated environments, ensuring alignment with statutory and sector standards.
- Deep understanding of governance frameworks, policy lifecycle management, and regulatory assurance processes, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Proven track record in designing and delivering process enhancements, including the implementation of system-based and AI-enabled solutions that drive efficiency and productivity.
