Job Description
Prospectus is delighted to be supporting our client, one of the world’s most influential cancer research organisations, in hiring an experienced Governance and Committee Support Manager.
Location: London, hybrid
Hours:Â Full-time (35 hours per week over 5 days)
Contract:Â Fixed-term contract (12 months)
Pay/Salary: £51,500 per annum
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
This is a pivotal role providing high-level secretariat and project management support across the institute’s governance and research committees, including:
- Secretariat support for the Board and sub-committees, internal governance and research committees. Agenda setting, paper preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking. Organising logistics for Board Away Days and Advisory Board meetings. Creating and maintaining governance records and archives. Leading governance improvement projects and initiatives, including new technologies.
About the Person
We’re looking for someone with:
- A PhD in biomedical science or equivalent experience, ideally with an understanding of cancer research.
- Proven experience in governance and committee support, preferably in a scientific environment.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence working independently and collaboratively across senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, adaptable approach with a commitment to excellence and integrity.
