Do you have the skills and qualifications to support autistic children and young people with their educational needs?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our OSSME department due to development & increased contracts. This is a role where you can really make a difference to young lives.

Our Outreach Support Service for Mainstream Education (OSSME) provides specialist personalised ASC support for children and young people (0 to 25 years) in the home, community and educational settings. OSSME also offer training packages to families and professionals in education settings and other multi-disciplinary practices.

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential, as is the ability to advise and support individuals with ASC within the home and educational settings.

A qualification in social care or education and knowledge of the National Curriculum is desirable. Good knowledge of autism is important in this role, though we will also provide you with a comprehensive induction and continuous training programme to build on existing knowledge and to support your continued professional development.

As a requirement of the role is travelling across the region it is essential that you have your own vehicle and hold a full, clean driving license

This position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). The cost of which will be met by Autism Initiatives.
