Job Description

Kingston College are currently seeking a Team Leader Business. The Team Leader will join the Schools Management Group and will be responsible for curriculum standards and outcomes for a number of programmes, assuming responsibility for the organisation and co-ordination of delivery teams.

Contributing directly to developing and meeting the Schools Quality Self-assessment and Improvement plans, you will ensure targets for recruitment, retention, achievement, success, progression and student satisfaction are achieved or exceeded. It is anticipated that the Team Leader will assume the role of a designated Safeguarding Officer for the School, ensuring incidents and welfare issues are promptly actioned in line with relevant College Policies and Procedures.

As Team Leader, you will also teach on programmes and act as tutor for student group(s) with responsibility for their academic and pastoral care, co-ordinate schemes of work and assessment schedules and develop and be responsible for high quality course materials including e-learning resources.

As our Team Leader, you will hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have excellent teaching skills with experience of successfully leading/managing FE and/or HE programmes. With a thorough understanding of quality assurance and improvement processes and how these can be used to enhance the student experience, you will have experience of successfully monitoring and supporting at-risk learners to achieve or exceed their potential.

With a strong vision for the improvement and development of the curriculum area, you will have high personal standards and expectations with good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills as well as knowledge of current and future sector skills needs and the implications for teaching and learning strategies.
